In the Summer of 2013 Revlon UK launched a campaign to align themselves with Festival Beauty, their ultimate goal was to encourage consumers to reconsider the Revlon brand. Wisebuddah was employed initially as a consultant to advise on the creative approach, but was later asked to also produce all of the audio-visual campaign elements.
The Isle of Wight Festival was used as the backdrop for the main film. We told the story of two ordinary girls, Danielle and Lucia, having amazing festival fun, with the help of Revlon - who came across in the film as the must have accessory for festival fun.
We shot the film in just 6 hours, thanks to meticulous forward planning and a shared vision amongst cast and crew. We shot on Cannon C300 at 50fps and used simple After Effects grades to give a nostalgic, warm feeling. The film was broadcast on E4 in the UK, and was Revlon’s centrepiece asset throughout the Summer of 2013.
We also created a behind the scenes film, focusing on nail design, for Revlon’s internal comms.
To make the film stand out even more, we brokered a deal with the band Kodaline to use their then current hit ‘Love Like This’, as the soundtrack to the films. Then began a Kodaline/Revlon relationship that went throughout 2013. Our Revlon Festival Beauty films were received well all over the world, creating 10’s of 1000’s of views and re-engaging consumers to the Revlon brand.
